We are a group of students from Western Michigan University that are working on a Solutions Project in the effort to help find, educate, and fund the cure for HIV/AIDS in children in Africa. We are all involved in a very inspirational class, African Literature, that is helping us to reach our goal of one day finding a solution to this epidemic in children that live in Africa.
Through this class we have learned about many challenges facing the African people. The topic of HIV/AIDS became a clear concern to us, especially when looking at the statistics involving children. The fact that children are helpless when it comes to contracting this disease is saddening. We chose to support the African Aid Organization because not only are they working on treating this epidemic they are educating the African people.
